When mounting AirShoxs to any bike, clearances must be considered due to the larger diameter of the shock. Positioning of air valves is critical to avoid damage. Click on the images to the left for recommendations to consider. The pics are from a CR250R, but they apply to all bikes. In addition to cutting of swingarm and top mount, the down tube in front of the top cap leading edge will need to be dimpled for clearance.
Due to how even just a tiny sliver of metal can puncture a bladder, Only bladders that I install are guaranteed. Please see the photo of a rebuild from another shop I took apart, in my work, I always remove the air valves for cleaning and resealing. Thoroughly clean shafts and lower cap, inspect for sharp edges and burrs, obstructions in shaft ports, lightly coat bladders with oil before installing.
